The Women’s Board

The Women’s Board of the American Heart Association, Greater Washington Region supports the AHA’s mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives; through the funds raised by the annual An Affair of the Heart Luncheon and Fashion Show. These funds are allocated to seven research grants to develop new and innovative technologies to combat heart diseases and stroke.

    Angie Marriott
    Angie is a native of Utah, but has called Washington, DC home for over 30 years. She has attended every An Affair of the Heart luncheon during the last 30 years. Angie joined the Women’s Board in 2012 and has served in several positions, including chairman of the Affair of the Heart Luncheon in 2018. She is a graduate of the University of Utah and raised three daughters. Over the years, she developed a passion for charitable work and has volunteered in several schools in the Washington, DC area–serving as a Trustee, member of the Parents Association, and as an advancement committee member.
